The World Cup 2010

3 Matches a day for most days ... 9.30pm, 12am, and 4.30am each day ... Not gonna bother with games like NZ vs Slovakia or Algeria vs Slovenia. But for most others then I'll be watching!!!. It'll be another 4 long years before the next WC...

Last world cup I made the mistake of chickening out... I actually went to sleep when I got tired, and I even missed the Australia vs Croatia nail biter ... Not This Time Round!!!. For those interested, here is the SBS schedule... I've got it on my desktop. You Should too!!!

In the meantime, life will be put on hold ... Or at least I'll be doing just the basics, like work and eating ;)

This is sooooo exciting :D

Mr. Bat Pig ... Suddenly you care about soccer now that NZ did well? hehehe ...
isn't that rather convenient :P

I don't really care much about NZ - just like seeing Oz have the worst result
so far in the cup. :-)

But I certainly wont be watching even highlights any more. The "bee
swarms" are just way too annoying. What do continually blaring plastic
trumpets have to do with soccer?

apparantly its an African tradition and FIFA didn't wanna stifle what they
thought would add to the "authenticity" of an African world cup :) ...
The problem is that we can barely hear anything, including what the
commentators are saying, over that irrepressible din!!

Woo Woo!

Yet again an Italian player throws themselves to the ground to get a penalty :(
There should be a video review of these and the players get a ban for a couple
of games...
